Bible 123 - HELP.TXT INTRODUCTION Thank you for using the Bible 123 program. This program is part of the Super Bible Kids Series software. As with other Kidvision Software programs, the Bible 123 program is intended to educate young children about the Bible through colorful pictures and music. Kids are able to learn the Bible while having fun learning to use the computer, with the mouse and keyboard to play the games. The selected songs are popular Bible songs which are fun and easy to learn. INSTALLATION The program disk comes with an automatic setup program that will install the Bible 123 game in your Windows(TM) Program Manager. The program comes with its own icons. After installation, you can move the icons to any program group you prefer. The default directory for the setup program is c:\BibleKid. If you want to change the directory, you are allowed to do so during the setup procedures. To run the setup program, you must follow these procedures: 1. Insert program disk into drive a:\ or b:\ 2. At Program Manager, select File and choose Run 3. Type a:\setup or b:\setup 4. Then follow the on-screen instructions. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS IBM or compatible computer with a 80286 or faster processor. EGA, VGA or SVGA monitor. Windows 3.1 or higher (or Windows 3.0 with multi-media extension) with 2 M Byte of RAM memory (min.). A mouse is a must. The program will play all sound and music through your sound card. INSTRUCTIONS The Bible 123 program is a very user-friendly program which requires minimal computer knowledge to play. However, children under the age of 3 may need to be guided by an adult. To start the program At the Windows Program Manager screen, double-click the Bible 123 icon in the Super Bible Kids group. An introduction screen will come up to display several messages and music will be played in the background. The main program screen will then be displayed. To select the picture group to display Using the mouse, click at the picture group button to select Biblical, Animals or Objects. The child can change the selection at any time during the game by simply clicking at the other buttons. To start the game Using the mouse or keyboard, select a number. The correct number of pictures corresponding to the selected number will be displayed on the screen. A realistic voice will say the number and the word for the picture(s). After the pictures have been displayed, a portion of a Bible song will play. The Bible song will be different for each time you select another number. To select another number After the conclusion of the music, the child can select another number by using the mouse or keyboard. A new group of pictures and sound will be displayed for the selected number. To see information about the picture An additional feature of the Bible 123 program allows the child to click the pictures on the screen to display written information about the pictures. (A text box will come up on the screen to briefly explain what the picture is.) To get help information about the program Using the mouse, click the "Help" button (?) to display this help.txt file on screen. You can also print a copy of this help.txt file using the Notepad, Write or other word processing softwares. To stop the music Using the mouse, click the "Stop Music" button. You can also hit the "Enter" or "Space Bar" in the keyboard to stop the music. To exit the program Just click the "Exit" button (Stop sign). The program will return you to the Program Manager. To play other Super Bible Kids games The "Main Menu" button allows you to access other Super Bible Kids games. Click this button and the Super Bible Kids main menu will display. If you do not have other games installed, clicking the uninstalled game buttons will display a message indicating that you have not installed those games. (For your information, we are planning more than eight games in the Super Bible Kids series.) For a fully-functional version, call Kidvision Software to order or print the Register.wri file using the Windows(TM) Write program.
